Little Red Riding Hood, Blonde – OOAK
In all adaptations of fairy tales, Goldilocks had golden locks, Snow White had skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood and hair as black as ebony, but nowhere do we get a real description of Little Red Riding Hood and that is what makes her so special! She can be whatever we imagine!
Little Red was written by Frenchman Charles Perrault in the late 1600s. He also wrote the first known Cinderella and Tales of Mother Goose.
These tales were retold by the Grimm Brothers in the 19th century and Little Red Riding Hood looks different in all these renditions (as you can see with the antique doll in the attached photo).
Our porcelain doll is a refined version with blonde mohair, brown mouth blown glass eyes, an outfit of antique fabrics and embellishments. She also comes with her own Red Riding Hood antique dolls and antique leather shoes circa 1910-20.
