About the Artist:
In a small German village between the Baltic and the North Seas, Kirsten Koster has been perfecting teddy bear making since 1994. With a gift for “handicrafts” and a love for teddy bears her sister gave her a teddy bear pattern book to bring together her passions. After three years of improving her skills, Kirsten learned to create her own patterns highlighting her signature – big soft sculpted feet with four toes. In 1999, Kirsten had her proudest moment when she received her first website order from the United States. She could not believe that someone from the other side of the ocean was interested in her bears. No matter if Kirsten Koster is on vacation or working in her studio, her sewing box is always with her – ready to create another masterpiece.
