At 10″ tall, Quercus Alba is Welsh for American White Oak. This bear is made of a creamy, curly pile German mohair with ultra-suede paw pads and cotter pin joints. Polyester fiber filled with glass beads. A hand knitted scarf is fastened together with a wooden button engraved with two oak leaves.
He is fully jointed.

Growing up in England, artist Ruth Dickinson was surrounded by teddy bears for as long as she can remember. Since 2001, collectors have been attracted to the appealing faces of Wellwood Bears. From quizzical, sad, happy or mad, each bear has the same simple nose and mouth shape but the size of the eyes change to give just the right personality and expression.
