7.5″ tall, Pink Ted is made using a distressed pink mohair that has been worn in many spots. She has soulful glass eyes and a sculpted nose. She is gently stuffed with wood excelsior and is fully jointed. An antique lace collar is around her neck.

About the Artist:
Residing in Tokyo, Japan – Hisa Kato has been making teddy bears for seventeen years. “The style of my teddy bears is different from the general idea of the teddy bear, especially in the proportion of the limbs and the way of using the materials”, states Hisa Kato when questioned on what differentiates her bears from other artist bears. Even before college, Hisa was actively involved in oil painting and sculpture; this led her into teddy bear making. She enjoys thinking about the unusual ways to use teddy bear materials when she designs a bear. Her other interests include watching movies, tarot card readings and pending time with her cats.
