Amalia wears an ivory velour romper with sherbet colored accents.  She is dressed in “Kaloo” (an exclusive French baby line) and has her very own companions, a bear and ladybug rattle.  Her blanket cozily wraps around her weighted soft body.  She has vinyl arms, legs and head, a Mohair wig, blue glass eyes and hand painted face.

Didy Jacobsen, the artist was born in a little village in the Netherlands. She was a hairstylist, when the doll “virus” hit her during a doll making course. She is fascinated especially by babies just about to discover their surroundings.

She sculpts her dolls born from fantasy with much sense for detail.
