About the artist -  Rose Marie was born and raised in sunny, beautiful South Africa.  Creating with her hands and involvement in all sorts of art came naturally to Rose Marie.  She began making porcelain dolls in 1989.   At that time she discovered her real love and passion for doll making - which has become her life's work.  Being entirely self taught, she has been able to develop her own unique style - creating realistic character faces.   Rose Marie pays special attention to every detail - right down to the finely sculpted fingernails.

Her dolls have proved to be very popular and can be found in collections all over the world.
