Samantha's Collectible Dolls, Bears & Gifts Presents:

with Heart & Soul

For doll artist Sonja Hartmann, internationally known for both her own designs and the development and production of dolls for other artists, a great wish came true in 2001. Working in close collaboration with the artists, and freed from all external pressures, she is now applying her own high standards of craftsmanship to coordinating and overseeing the production of doll designs.

Sonja Hartmann has never been satisfied with less than the best when it comes to design, materials, manufacture and presentation. Her insistence on highest quality is visible in the dolls she shows here.  Continued below.

2008/09 Release - Svenja

For a doll's body and clothing natural materials are used wherever possible. Wigs are often hand-knotted and made of human hair, mohair or kanekalon. Accessories and trimming are largely made by hand, with loving attention to detail.

Each doll is produced in a small limited edition; this year between 200 and 500 dolls per model, worldwide.

In November 2007 "Heart and Soul“ added a new line of collectible dolls to its family. Previously offering one especially designed artist’s doll each year, our successful "Baby Me Collectors’ Club“ series has been expanded to include a new range of highly affordable dolls that will be available on a quarterly basis. Designed by a variety of different artists, these dolls will be sold in selected stores.

As with all our products, Baby Me Collectors’ Club dolls will be produced under the careful supervision of Sonja Hartmann. Assisting her will be her daughter Gesa Hartmann who joined the firm in 2007 after completing a three-year course of training.

...and as with everything else, true success comes only from commitment, honesty, and a firm belief in the people you work with. In other words, from dedicating yourself  “with heart and soul”.
