Amaro is a young girl who lives in Bolivia. Her T-shaped faux deer skin poncho is edged in row after row of different colored beads and wool braid. Layers of gray faux-leather form a breech-cloth that she wears beneath a brown woolen sweater. Her braids are held in place with cords made from real seashells and wooden beads. An amulet of wooden beads and abalone shell encircles her neck. Her fully lined poncho has beads arranged in the form of a decorative mask along the sections that cover Amaro's arms. Multiple rows of beads circle the tops of her boots and tiny spiral seashells dangle from their braid. Tubular beads and two different varieties of seashells are combined in her wide cummerbund/belt.
