Here we have Carmen from Panama. Panama is a Spanish word meaning "world of the butterflies" and we wanted this little girl to shine as brilliant as any butterfly! Her pleated white jacquard dress is embroidered with golden threads and finished with a ruffle of soft, supple chiffon that is also embroidered with golden thread. Around her neck is a delicate faux-gold necklace of filigree metal beads. There are shiny faux-leather gold dancing slippers upon her feet. Seven different colored beads are twisted together to form the large floral creations that hold Carmen's braids firmly in place.
