"Where's that plate of sausages?" asks Darko, our sturdy young boy from Slovenia. Crewel-embroidered floral symbols of spring highlight the front of his cream colored wool jacket. A colorful cluster of feather pokes out from the braided band of his brown felt hat as he welcomes the spring and the coming of a brand new year. Darko wears a wide belt fitted with metal studs and appliqués that form symbols of the flowers that grow in the forests of his country. Stylized embroidery decorates the front of his breeches. Triplicate bands of floral braid and dark brown looped fringe finish the sleeves and collar on his jacket.
